The Farm

Maple Tree Farms started with a simple dream: to slow down, work with our hands, and create something meaningful for our family and our community.

What began as a small backyard flock and a love for baking has grown into a family-run farm where quality, honesty, and hard work are at the heart of everything we do. Every egg is gathered with care, every loaf and baked treat is made from scratch, and every woodworking or handyman project is completed with the same attention and pride we would give our own home.

We believe in supporting local, building relationships, and providing products and services you can trust. Whether you're stopping by the farm stand for fresh eggs, picking up homemade goodies, or asking for help with a project around the house, you're not just supporting a small business—you’re supporting a family that truly appreciates your encouragement.

Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your home. We look forward to serving our neighbors and sharing the simple joys of farm life, one customer at a time.

Welcome to Maple Tree Farms—where local, handmade, and heartfelt isn't just a slogan, it's the way we live.

Our Story

Hi! We're Josh and Amy Smith, the family behind Maple Tree Farms.

Our story is a little unexpected and a whole lot of God's grace.

Josh was born in Wisconsin but has called Georgia home since he was four years old. Amy is a proud Rhode Island Yankee through and through, born and raised in the smallest state with the biggest personality. We met through work, quickly realized we made a pretty great team, and, as they say, the rest is history.

In 2023, we packed up our big, busy family and moved to Ball Ground, Georgia, looking for a place where we could slow down, spread out, and put down roots. The following Mother's Day, we planted a maple tree in our yard as a symbol of new beginnings, hope, and the life we were building together. When our blended family officially became one in 2024, Maple Tree Farms felt like the perfect name for this new chapter.

Today, our home is filled with seven incredible kids ranging in age from 2 to 18. Life is wonderfully loud, wonderfully messy, and always full of something happening. You might find one child gathering eggs, another helping bake bread or cookies, someone building a project in the workshop with Dad, or the little ones chasing chickens through the yard.

Maple Tree Farms grew out of our desire to share a little bit of that life with our community. What started with fresh eggs has grown into homemade baked goods, woodworking, small crafts, and handyman services—all created with the same care, honesty, and hard work we believe should go into everything we do.

For us, this isn't just a business. It's a family project, a way to teach our kids responsibility, create lasting memories, and build relationships with the people around us. Every loaf of bread, every dozen eggs, every handcrafted piece, and every home project supports our family and reminds us how blessed we are to be part of this community.

Whether you're stopping by our farm stand at 714 Yellow Creek Road, ordering something homemade, or simply following along on our journey, we're so thankful you're here.

From our family of nine to yours, welcome to Maple Tree Farms. We hope you'll stop by, stay awhile, and leave feeling like a neighbor and a friend.

"I can't say enough about the outstanding service I received from your company. Their team went above and beyond to meet our needs and exceeded our expectations."
